For Participants

Ready to be independent?

It’s time to become the adult you want to be. We know that taking on the responsibilities of living on your own can feel a bit scary at first, but we’re here to help you every step of the way.

Each of our participants has different interests, goals, hopes and dreams. The one thing they have in common is a willingness to learn and participate in order to become an independent adult. You can do it!

At each stage of the program, you’ll learn new skills and gain experience doing the things you’ll need to do once you’re on your own. It might be hard work sometimes, but you’ll also have fun, meet nice people and build your self-confidence.

Living on your own takes cash

Living on your own is a lot easier when you have a job. You will have access to job preparation, training and a work practicum. If you have educational goals, we’ll support you there too!

It’s having your own place and a whole lot more

Finding your own apartment is one small part of living on your own. There’s a lot more to it.

  • How are your cooking skills (making toast doesn’t count)?
  • Are you good at managing your money or do you spend it as soon as you get it?
  • How will you stay healthy and take care of yourself when you’re on your own?

We’ll help you figure it all out. You likely already have a few of the skills you need to live on your own. We just need to build on those.
